Just Judge of Confessed Sins

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9)

Where can we find a just judge?  Most of our court systems seems to be partial.  The rich always seem to get a break.  The poor always seem to get broken.  Broken by large fines.  Broken by hard sentences.  Broken by jail time.  Where can we find a just judge?  The answer is in Jesus Christ.  For He is a judge who always gives us another chance.  A judge who has no respect of persons.  It does not matter if you are rich or poor, black or white,  male or female, Jesus is just when we stand before Him asking for forgiveness.  That is the way to receive His forgiveness.  We must first confess our sins.  We must admit that we have done wrong.  Confession to Christ is not for His information.  It is not for His knowledge, for He knows everything.  Confession is for us.  The scripture says in Romans 10:10, “………….with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation”.  Confession is for our sake.  It will enable us to grow stronger.  It will help us to realize that we cannot walk this walk without Christ.  The first step to forgiveness is confession.  The first step to healing is confession.  The first step to growing stronger is confession.  When we confess, Jesus is faithful to us and will forgive us.   There is joy in knowing that we do not have to wonder if Christ will forgive us for the scripture declares that he WILL.  Not only will He forgive us but He will also cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness.  Now ain’t that good news.
