Pray For Others Continually

9 For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;  10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;  11 Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;  12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:  (Colossians 1:9-12)

Prayer is such a vital aspect of the Christian life.  Without prayer, our defenses against attacks are hindered.  Not only should we pray for ourselves, for our families, for our friends, for our loved ones, but we should pray for the entire family of God.  When you pray for other saints, pray that they will become knowledgeable concerning the spiritual things of God.  Pray that they will use that knowledge with wisdom to minister to the needs of others.  Pray that they will be able to live in a way that is pleasing to God.  When you began to gain spiritual knowledge of God, Satan seeks to attack other areas of your life and your family and friends.  Pray that God will strengthen them as they walk.  Pray that they will be able to be patience in their trials knowing that it is God who holds them in His hand.  Pray that they will have joy as they serve God.  For we are together in this fight.  We are together in this war.  We are seeking to gain the same inheritance.  You pray for me and I’ll pray for you.  We are all a part of God’s family.
