Use Your Freedom To Serve One Another In Love

For you have been called to live in freedom—not freedom to satisfy your sinful nature, but freedom to serve one another in love.  (Galatians 5:13 NLT)

Have you ever heard the saying “I’m grown, I can do whatever I want to do.”  This phase usually comes from a younger person who is trying to establish their freedom.  It has even been uttered by an elder person who does not want someone else telling them what to do. Some see freedom as an opportunity to do whatever they want to do.  True spiritual freedom comes from gaining a maturity to do the right thing.  When we are free in Christ, we become free to become servants of Christ.  We are free to live a life pleasing to God.  We are free to live according to the Word of God.  We are free to ignore the calls of worldly lusts.  We are free to deny ourselves and follow Christ.  We are free to serve one another in love.  We are free to leave the nest and go out into the world and be a witness and a light for Christ.
