Develop Citizens

1 Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work, 2 To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.  (Titus 3:1-2)

After developing older men, younger men, older women, younger women and employees, Paul turns his attention to citizens as a whole.  All Christians have a responsibility to be a good citizen.  We are responsible to obey the laws of the land.  Obey those in authority.  Believers have a civil duty to be obedient to the national laws, as well as local laws.  A developed citizen will also be prepared to do good works.  Not always looking for something to argue about.  Some folks just seek out something to argue about.  But a developed citizen will be meek and gentle.  A developed citizen will be one who would stop to help someone in need.  A developed citizen will be one that all would desire to have as a neighbor.  A developed citizen will be one known for his good works in the community.  A developed citizen will be one who would seek to find the good in everybody rather than talking negative about them.  Titus has a responsibility to develop Christian citizens.  Christian citizens have a responsibility to be developed into the Christian citizens that God is seeking.
