A Request With Power

If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.  (John 14:14)

These thirteen words spoken in John 14:14 gives us power in our request made before God.  We do not have to come to God wavering or doubting.  We can go boldly before His throne of grace with the power that comes from asking in the name of Jesus.  We can ask in His name because He is the one who suffered, bled and died for the sins of the world.  Peter and John told the lame man in the 4th Chapter of Acts “In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.”  That name of Christ still has power today.  Don’t listen to the world that claim there is nothing special about using His name.  Jesus declares that if you ask for anything in my name, I will do it.  So lean on His name.  Cling to His name.  Depend upon His name.  You too can talk to God saying, “In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, open doorways that no man can close.  In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, deliver that child from Satan’s grasp.  In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, release your hold on my life.  In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, heal that loved one.  In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rescue that lost soul.”  In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, you can ask anything and it shall be done.  There really IS power in that name.
