How To Glorify God

7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.  8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.  (John 15:7-8)

There are many ways to give God glory.  One of those ways is to bear much fruit.  Dead and fruitless branches that are at the end of good vines are of no use.  But branches that are vibrant, alive and full of fruit is a credit to it’s vine.  God expects us to bear fruit.  He is the vine and we are the branches.  He is glorified when we bear MUCH fruit.  The Lord often used the natural to better illustrate the spiritual.  To give glory to God, we must produce fruit of the spirit.  To produce fruit we must abide in Christ.  To produce much fruit, His Words must abide in us.  Jesus says that if we abide in Him (that’s relation) and His Words abide in us, (that’s residence) then we can ask for what we want (that’s request) and the Lord shall supply it (that results).  You can glorify God by staying in His will and in His Word and allowing His Word to remain in you.  It is inevitable that you will produce much fruit.
